The Gift of Financial Literacy: A Grandparent’s Guide

The most valuable gift a grandparent can give isn’t money in an account. It’s the knowledge to grow it. Teach Me Wall Street is a live virtual investing program for teens, taught by a former Morgan Stanley professional. Students learn to read stock charts, make investment decisions, compete in a coached 8-week investing competition, and build financial confidence - skills that last longer than any savings bond.

A Different Kind of Gift

You’ve probably given your grandchild money for their birthday. Maybe a savings bond. Maybe a check they deposited and forgot about.

Those gifts are generous. But they don’t teach anything.

The most valuable financial gift you can give a teenager isn’t a deposit. It’s the skill to understand what to do with it. How to grow it. How to protect it. How to think about money not as something to spend, but as something to manage.

That’s what Teach Me Wall Street teaches.

What Your Grandchild Will Learn

This is not a budgeting app or a savings calculator. This is real investing education, taught live by a former Morgan Stanley professional who spent a decade on Wall Street.

Students learn how the stock market actually works. They learn to read stock charts, the visual language of every investing app they’ll ever open. They learn when to buy and when to sell. They learn to evaluate a company’s fundamentals and technical signals. They practice managing a simulated portfolio with real strategy.

And then they test those skills in an 8-week investing competition - managing a $100K simulated portfolio, justifying every trade, learning from peers, coached by Annaline throughout. They earn a certificate. They build a community. They gain an experience that shows up on college applications.

Why This Gift Lasts

A savings bond matures. A stock gift gets forgotten in a custodial account. But the ability to read a stock chart, evaluate a trade, and think strategically about risk? That lasts a lifetime.

Your grandchild will use these skills when they open their first brokerage account in college. When they evaluate their first 401(k) at work. When they decide whether a financial product is worth their money. When they teach their own children.

You’re not giving them money. You’re giving them the skill to manage it.
