The WINTER 2026 Teen Investor Cup begins Monday, February 16, 2026, and runs for 7weeks. 

The FALL 2026 competition will start on September 28, 2026.

Each week, there is a 1-hour optional coaching call (recordings are provided). Students can spend as much or as little additional time as they wish managing their virtual portfolios — most students dedicate 1–2 hours per week.

Coaching calls are held on Mondays & Thursdays:
12:00 noon New York Time (EST) (ideal for students in Europe, the Middle East, and Africa)
6:30 pm & 9:30 pm New York Time (EST) (ideal for students in the US, including the West Coast)
All calls are recorded and available for replay.

Yes! Our programs include students from around the world, and the Teen Investor Cup is open internationally.

Absolutely. Many homeschool students have successfully participated in our programs and competitions.

Yes! This competition is a recognized extracurricular activity that demonstrates leadership, initiative, and real-world skills. Students receive certificates, awards, and projects they can showcase in essays and interviews.

Each student must sign up for their own account, but siblings receive a 10% discount on both registrations.

No. New students can enroll in the self-paced Wall Street & Investing Program before the competition to ensure they’re prepared.

Students are evaluated based on their portfolio performance and their ability to explain their investment strategy during the final week. Special awards include sustainable investing and cash prizes.

A laptop or desktop with internet access is recommended. The competition uses a web-based trading platform. 

All coaching calls are recorded and posted in the portal within 24 hours, so students can catch up at any time.

Yes. Every participant will receive a certificate of completion and digital badges. Top performers receive additional recognition and prizes.

The Teen Investor Cup is designed for individual students to participate directly. Many schools don’t have business or stock market competitions, and this gives students the opportunity to build those skills and earn recognition on their own.

The self-study program is a condensed version of our 20-hour live class. Each 2-hour class has been edited down to 30–50 minutes of short teaching videos, plus standalone (instead of group) games and the stock research spreadsheet exercise. It’s an excellent entry point for beginners who want to learn at their own pace.

The full self-study program takes about 10 hours.

Students need to complete half of the modules (around 5 hours) before the competition begins. These cover the essential foundations:

• Understanding stock trends (market going up or down)

• Types of investments: stocks, bonds, ETFs, and mutual funds

• Trading terminology: buy, sell, and types of orders

The remaining modules can be completed during the competition for additional practice and deeper learning.
