Week 2 Trading & Investing:

  • Technical Analysis - when to buy and sell stocks

  • Place trades in a live simulated trading in an account you get to keep

  • Learn Risk management

  • Basic Fundamental Analysis - Learn to pick good stocks

  • Understand what moves the market

  • Learn to manage your portfolio

  • Build your tracking spreadsheet
  • Custodial accounts information for both students and parent

Week 3 Budgeting & Beyond Uses real life scenarios and students learn how to

  • Design and manage a budget based on real life scenarios

  • Explore career choices and related income levels to determine budgets, spending and lifestyle choices

  • Learn about taxes, insurance and paycheck deductions
  • Discover ways to identify and avoid hazardous financial traps, scams, and schemes
  • Learn about credit, responsible credit card use, and find out how to avoid credit pitfalls
  • Explore types of bank accounts and learn how they work.
  • Discuss investment strategies to grow savings and 401ks.
  • Develop a Money Mindset and the skills necessary to successfully “life plan” your money.
